Welcome to the Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Program (formerly the Rape Prevention and Education Program) website. The site is funded by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of Women's and Children's Health. Funding for SVPEP comes through the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.



What's New?


  • Check out the SVPEP database.  The SVPEP database contains summaries of peer-reviewed research articles, publications and statistical reports, as well as media resources published by various organizations.  Research summaries are written by SVPEP staff and are based on original papers.
  • Between 2007 and 2008, members of a committee developed the Arizona Sexual Violence Primary Prevention and Education Eight Year Program Plan. This plan was released in January of 2010.
